Time management tools

Welcome to the fifth section of this course, now in this part of the course, I will help you understand what kind of tools you can use to manage your time. Let us say that the last two sections are just a recap of certain things that I have spoken about earlier. In this section, I’m going to summarize the various tools that I have recommended in the previous sections. These tools will help you plan and prioritize your work accordingly. I’ll get straight to the point and cover these two sections quickly. Let me start with a

Todo List and work accordingly

Divide your to-do list into three main sections; the first is month-wise, the second is week-wise, and the third is day wise. Once you finish this first step, you need to enter the information or goals you need to achieve monthly, weekly, and daily. Every time you complete one task, just mark a simple tick. While working on that particular task, do not think about anything else. This will help help you to understand and plan your work accordingly.

Calendar

As your calendar planning should include your to-do list, it should also include at least three-weekend getaways throughout the year if you cannot take a break or a vacation for like a week or 10days. It should also include a few things that you would want to do for yourself. You can plan something like getting a tattoo done, buying a new mobile and anything small. Just make sure that you include something for yourself in your planning.

Notebook

Now, this notebook is meant for you as a person. I want you to maintain a book where you pen down your thoughts, the challenges you faced during the day, and how you overcame it. In short, this book will be a reflection of you and your personality. Whenever you feel like giving up or feeling down, go through the pages and appreciate that you have overcome so many problems. You must be wondering why I have put this point in this course. Well, if you remember, I mentioned earlier that you have to keep yourself motivated. So this is one way to do so.

Download time management apps

When it comes to your work front, you will have various tools and apps that you can use. You can use these apps to help you schedule yourself. Also, keep in mind that when you use these apps, you set proper reminders. It will help you to stay on track and complete your tasks on time.

Learn the art of Timeboxing

Now timeboxing is a tool wherein you keep aside some time of the day to do specific tasks. This could be something like setting 30 mins a day to reply to emails, 20 mins a day to do some stretching, and so on. This will help to keep your productivity levels at its peak. This will also help you not to waste time or get distracted with small things.

With this, I end the fifth section and move ahead to the last part of this course.
